Minnetonka is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, located just west of Minneapolis. It's conveniently located near Hopkins, Edina, and Saint Louis Park, most noted for its iconic moccasin maker, The Minnetonka Moccasin Company.

The Sioux Native Americans inhabited Minnetonka right from the 15th century. Eden Prairie was founded in 1851 by Europeans, and it has been known as Minnetonka since then. In 1858, it was renamed Minnetonka after the Dakota language term for "big water."

Minnetonka has grown to be a busy Minneapolis-St. Paul suburb with many things to see.
